Healing of the Mind!

Write yourself to a new you.

"The tongue has within it the power to create death and life, we create what we speak. The result is what shape our lives: Proverbs 18 verse 21."

Buried alive: Your thoughts are killing you...

Hoarding; buried alive... When you think about hoarding you think about the clutter of things that keep piling up until there is no more room to move around freely. You’re not able to move around because nothing gets dealt with or thrown out before you know it, you’re living an unhealthy lifestyle. The occupants get repeatedly sick from the bacteria in the atmosphere, from the feces of rodents, and roaches who have found such clutter a colony to thrive.

When I think of hoarding the first thing that comes to my mind is how did one get oneself in such a predicament in the first place. Are they too nasty and or lazy to clean up after themselves? Are they so out of touch with reality, that instead of having a social life, stuff becomes their friend and confidant? The more they have is the more they get to replace the lost or forgotten. On top of that do not forget the animals they bring in for comfort replacing human interaction. This type of mindset like any uncontrolled behaviour or habit can get you into trouble real fast. It is like someone on drugs except in this scenario the addiction is in the gathering of stuff.

With that being, said it is very easy to stereotype these people, sum them up as people you could never associate yourself with. However, these people could be a family member, your neighbour, a co-worker, or even a close friend and you would not even know it. If it were true, how would you feel about the situation then? What if I spin the hoarding of things to just thoughts and emotions could you see the clutter in the same way?

Affirm yourself: Speak to yourself nicely even if others wont...

Say what you have and have what you say!
Knowing this saying “life and death is on the tip of your tongue” is something I have heard growing up as a child in the church, but what does it all mean? Let’s start with the word 'spell' As per Webster's Dictionary the meaning of the word spell as a verb means; to write or print the letters of... in a particular way to make up words. As a noun means; a spoken word or form of words held to have magic power - a state of enchantment. So, whether we are speaking negative or positive words we are casting a spell.

Once I opened my mind to this truth, I began to see the world differently. I used to criticize the Laws of Attraction, but now I embrace it, why? It is the same truth I knew "life and death are on the tip of the tongue" just coined in a way society can accept it. I am sure others can say it goes way further than the bible but for now this is where I am at.

Now back to words, have you heard of the saying "never let the sun goes down on your wrath"? Well, that too finally makes sense. Think about it, science brings the bible to life in more ways than you know. In my research, I found that when the body is at rest that is the time it does most of its repair and restoration. In short, it is creating, and where does it get the material from to create? You guessed it; from all the activities you encounter throughout your day. Over time if unresolved you will have a mountain of things aka too many materials. Once you go to sleep your subconscious pulls from these materials to create your future. What we want to do is balance what we say and do.

Let us back up for a second, the subconscious does not know if what you are saying, or feeling is good or bad it just sees it as material to work with. So, what you should do is try and resolve all issues before you go to sleep at night. Am I saying that you should pretend that you have no problems or that you will be able to resolve all problems in one night? Ah, but au contraire. What I am saying however is when you do encounter a problem to try and resolve it as soon as possible.

How can we put this into action...?

What we put in our minds weighs our body down and too much negative stuff is very toxic. We need to do something about the negative clutter of emotions and thoughts weighing our houses called our body down. No matter how small celebrate it as a victory. There are many options out there you just need to choose the one that is right for you. Professional help, self-help, life coach, meditation, healthy lifestyle choices that include whole foods and exercise and so much more. Seeing that I am not a doctor what I want to do is compliment your walk with words of encouragement and some additional materials to help you along your journey.
